Cubs Trip Spiders, 3-2
|
Chicago Cubs starter Edgar Jimenez was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Cleveland Spiders, 3-2. The third-place Cubs have a record of 41-34.
One consequential at-bat came in the top of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the batter, J.J. Small, hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 3-2, Chicago, and helped them go on to win.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Jimenez. "I think we showed that here."
