Boston Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Boston Red Sox starter Rhys Ladd was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Miami Marlins, 3-2. Reliever Pete McDaniel picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Sam Bell took the loss. Boston, now 54-21, holds down first place in the American League East Division.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Boston trailing 2-1, Tony Ramos hit a cutter from Sam Bell to right for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Red Sox had a walk-off win.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Ramos said.
