The Red Sox grabbed a win, 4-3, at Citi Field, overcoming a fine effort from New York pitcher Mario Espinoza. Espinoza went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Bobby Bonetti picked up the save, his 28th. The loss makes New York 32-42.

Boston used the timely hitting of Tony Ramos to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Ramos said.
