Close Win Moves Dodgers to 45-27
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers racked up a win at Dodger Stadium, bumping off the Texas Rangers, 2-1. Trenton Shaw, who started for Los Angeles, pitched effectively for his team. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Los Angeles.
The Dodgers got a lift from left fielder Eddie Lang who had a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third inning off Danny Babb. It was his 11th double of the season and put Los Angeles in front, 2-1.
In comments to the Los Angeles Daily, Lang admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
