Phillies Lose, 6-5
|
Jacob Holloway impressed in the 6-5 Washington win over Philadelphia. Holloway, who is a two-time All-Star, was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win boosted Washington to 43-28.
Holloway had a timely hit for Washington in the top of the sixth. With Philadelphia trailing 5-2, he turned a full count cutter into a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 6-5, Washington.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Holloway, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
