Jackson Propels Cincinnati to 2-0 Win
|
The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Target Field, taking down the Minnesota Twins, 2-0. Starting pitcher Geoff Jackson was a big reason why. The save went to Abraham Uresti, his 22nd this season. The third-place Reds go to 39-29.
In his 99-pitch effort, Jackson allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 4.
"Runs were at a premium," said Cincinnati manager Daniel Butler.
