Dodgers Need Extra Innings to Top Brewers, 5-3
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers took Milwaukee pitcher Jose Claustro's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Miller Park. The final score had Los Angeles getting past the Brewers, 5-3. Claustro went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 5. Kevin Faulconer, 3-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The Dodgers now have a record of 41-26 with the win over Milwaukee.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Brady House came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Milwaukee pitcher Ruben Guerra, he hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Los Angeles on top, 4-3.
In postgame comments, House said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
