Astros Pick Up 2-1 Road Win Over Nashville
|
In a tight game between the Houston Astros and the Nashville Outlaws, pitcher Angel Velasco was terrific on the mound. The Houston right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. Josh Juel sewed up the save, his 8th. The 6th-place Astros improved to 23-27.
Josh McCoy, who is tied for 10th in the NL in home runs with 12, contributed to the Houston win with a solo home run in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Houston skipper Aaron Shafer.
