5 Straight Wins for Cubs
|
The Chicago Cubs beat the Atlanta Braves, 6-0, at Wrigley Field. Chicago first baseman Dionisio Capelli had an outstanding performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Chicago has now won 5 games in a row.
With Chicago leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Capelli hit a fastball from Bruce Esparza for a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 2-0.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Capelli.
