New York Mets starter Robby Huffman was in fine form against the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, leading his team to a win, 11-2. Huffman got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Huffman allowed 1 run. The Mets improve their record to 18-23 with the win over Los Angeles.

New York used the bat of Bobby Vargas to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mets ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
