Marlins Earn 4-3 Win Versus Brewers
|
The Miami Marlins did just enough to sneak past the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3, at Miller Park. Miami pitcher Tony Porraz, in particular, had a standout performance. Sam Bell was called on to finish, recording his 6th save. The Marlins improve their record to 16-23 with the win over Milwaukee.
Miami used the timely hitting of Steve Ratterree to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Marlins on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Milwaukee manager Shawn Blackwell. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
