White Sox Need Extra Innings to Top Giants, 3-2
|
Fans who congregated at Guaranteed Rate Field were treated to extra-inning drama.
Behind an impressive start by Nate Esquivel, Chicago beat San Francisco, 3-2. Chris Orick, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits.
The White Sox procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Jose Zuniga. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Zuniga said.
With the win, Chicago raised its record to 21-17.
