Cardinals Mow Down White Sox, 9-1

The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals get after it.
St. Louis Cardinals starter Tomás Givotovsky turned in a top-notch performance against the Chicago White Sox at Busch Stadium. The result was a win for the Cardinals, 9-1. Givotovsky, now 5-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.
The fans who came to support the Cardinals were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Busch Stadium.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Givotovsky said.
St. Louis is now 21-17.
