Astros Need Extra Frames to Get Past Mets
|
Houston starter Pat Reeves pitched well against the New York Mets at Citi Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Dave Waggoner collected his 1st save. With the win, Houston upped its record to 17-17.
Houston used a timely hit from Roman Palmere to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 15th inning to put the Astros ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We squandered some opportunities," said New York manager Matt Young.
