Dominant Performance by Olvera in Baltimore Win
|
Baltimore starter Orlando Olvera had a strong outing against the St. Louis Cardinals at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. Elias Linarez recorded the save for Baltimore, his 3rd of the season. The loss puts St. Louis at 16-14.
Olvera, who dominated for Baltimore, earned the victory to move to 5-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 9. St. Louis batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said St. Louis manager Jonathan Jones.
