Overcash Nabs SL2 Most Valuable Player Award

The future looks extremely bright for Dan Overcash. At the age of 23, many players are still trying to find their way in MLB Short Season A.
Overcash has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Sub League 2 Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .288 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.
The Mexico Nightowls star also put up a .446 on-base percentage this year, with 74 hits, 11 doubles, 1 triple, 22 home runs, 59 RBIs and 55 runs scored.
He received 27 first place votes out of a possible 30. Víctor Hugo Rogers of the Huntington Beach Wild Riders finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Alexis Soto of the Orlando Cats finished third.
