5-Hit Barrage by Garcia
Duncan Garcia was at the head of a Flourtown Golden Grizzlies hit parade today at Aurora Grounds. The 22-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Aurora Music that marched off with the 11-10 win.

"We didn't have it today," griped Golden Grizzlies skipper following the game. "Duncan did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching."

Garcia did more than fine, dominating the Music at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance.

"Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging left fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."

Duncan Garcia singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Wilfrido Bido in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

This season Garcia is swinging the bat at a .404 rate with 40 hits in 99 at-bats. To date he has hit 4 home runs, scored 17 runs and driven in 20.
