The Texas Rangers soundly defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 13-4, at Globe Life Field, with third baseman Ryan McMahon a major reason why. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Texas. The Rangers, now 18-9, have played some good baseball in the early going.

With Texas leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, McMahon hit a cutter from Zach Eflin for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 8-3.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said McMahon.
