The Texas Rangers beat the Seattle Mariners, 6-5. Texas pitcher and Terre Haute, Indiana, native Sean Manaea led the way. The Rangers, now 17-8, have been red hot.

The game came to a dramatic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Texas trailing 5-4, Kevin Newman hit a fastball from Matt Moore for a 2-run double. It was the knockout punch the Rangers needed.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Texas manager Brian Crawford.
