The Boston Red Sox got a good effort from starter George Soriano in defeating the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The final score was 3-0. The win gives Boston a record of 6-4.

Boston used the timely hitting of Colson Montgomery to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Sox on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a good effort all around," said Montgomery.
