The New York Yankees powered past the Houston Astros, 9-2, at Minute Maid Park. Marcus Semien provided some of the pop. Sauce was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Yankees, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.

Cody Bellinger, who finished 3rd in the NL in home runs with 47 in 2019, aided the New York cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk.
