Brewers Earn 5-4 Win Versus Phillies
|
The Milwaukee Brewers overcame a good performance by Philadelphia third baseman Alec Bohm to knock off Philadelphia, 5-4, at American Family Field. Bohm was 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. Milwaukee reliever Joel Kuhnel picked up the win to move to 4-2. Bryan Abreu suffered the loss. The triumph puts Milwaukee at 77-74 for the season.
The Brewers got a clutch hit from third baseman Evan Longoria. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Brewers.
Longoria told reporters after the game: "Took some doing, but we got it done."
