Fraley Slugs Astros to 5-2 Win
|
The Houston Astros topped the San Francisco Giants, 5-2, at Oracle Park. Houston left fielder Jake Fraley was a spark plug for the offense. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Frankie Montas got the win, improving to 6-5. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Mason Miller earned the save for Houston, his 15th of the year.
In the top of the second, Fraley had a 2-run home run for Houston. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Astros on top, 2-0.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Fraley.
The victory gives Houston a record of 37-31.
