The Chicago White Sox faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Nathan Eovaldi, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Guaranteed Rate Field by a final score of 6-5. Eovaldi went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Shawn Armstrong was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 24 save opportunities. Chicago is now 33-34, while Boston is 26-40.
