Belt Hits 2 home runs in Rockies Win
A good performance from first baseman Brandon Belt helped the Colorado Rockies defeat the Cincinnati Reds, 6-4. Belt went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Rockies. Kyle Harrison, the winner, is now 4-1. He struck out 4 and walked 1 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. Ryan Borucki earned the save, his 12th.

Joey Gallo had a big 2-run home run for the Rockies in the bottom of the first inning. With Colorado leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Zach Eflin and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Rockies on top, 3-0.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Gallo.

Colorado leads the National League West Division by 3 games.
