Cerrano Pounds 3 HR Saturday, June 23rd , 2029 Pedro Cerrano showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Seattle Mariners and sparked the Pirates to a 11-10 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at PNC Park." For the day, Cerrano collected 3 hits in 6 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Pittsburgh skipper Koty Kochan said. "Pedro really put on a show." Pedro Cerrano flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Champ Bell in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Omari Hardaman in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Beau Crain in the 10th. This year Cerrano is hitting .252 with 69 hits, 20 home runs, 48 RBIs and has scored 46 runs. |
