Marte Reaches 2000 Milestone Friday, June 22nd , 2029 It was a banner day for Ketel Marte, who collected his 2000th hit in the Seattle 3-2 win over Pittsburgh. Marte went 2-for-3 in the game as both Mariners and Pirates fans cheered Marte when he reached base after his hit. "It feels great to get #2000," Marte said afterward, "especially since we won the game." In 1901 career games Marte has batted .283 with 2000 hits with 383 doubles, 78 triples and 164 home runs.
