Royals Beat Stags, 2-1
|
Kansas City Royals starter Michell Miliano was in fine form as he helped his team beat the Portland Stags, 2-1. Even with the win, the Royals have a dismal 24-52 record.
Had Lucas Parker not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Parker hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Royals.
"We were in it," said Portland manager Ryan Sendek. "We just didn't score enough runs."
