Mariners Lose to Brewers, 5-4
|
Danny Bradford had a big hand in Milwaukee's 5-4 triumph over Seattle. He rattled off 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scoring 1 times and knocking in 2 runs. Milwaukee reliever Francis Martes picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Beau Crain was saddled with the loss. Matthew Allan closed the game out for Milwaukee, earning his 12th save.
Tyler O'Neill, the slugging left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. O'Neill contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Milwaukee up, 5-4.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Bradford. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
The Brewers, at 33-40, sit in 6th place in the National League West Division.
