Manchester Sits Atop Heartland League Monday, September 22nd , 2053 Those expecting a dogfight in the Heartland League this year got quite the opposite - an early, easy division crown for the Manchester Marauders. "When you look at how far we are ahead, it might look like it was an easy year, but it didn't feel that way for us," said reliever Alex Rosier. "A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into putting us here." With a current record of 99-53, the Marauders can no longer be caught, cinching up a 12th division title for the franchise. Team manager Anthony Phillips said the club will "take some time to celebrate" the division title, but then "it's right back to work." |
