Dogs Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Friday, September 19th , 2053 José Valdéz said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Chicago Dogs after they missed the Continental Baseball League playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. Chicago last appeared in the postseason in 2044. This is their 9th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 28 times in their 39-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Dogs have made the playoffs 2 times. |
