Charlotte Gets 4-2 Win
|
The Charlotte Knights picked up a win at Milkmen Ballpark, knocking off the Milwaukee Milkmen, 4-2. On the mound for Charlotte was left-hander Joey Ahrndt, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ahrndt got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 8 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Ahrndt allowed 2 runs. The Knights sport a record of 15-35.
Charlotte used the bat of José Garza to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Knights ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
