5 Straight Wins for Outlaws
|
The Nashville Outlaws beat the Erie Seawolves, 7-6, at Olympic Stadium. The win was due in part to left fielder Joe Loback, who went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2. Mike Kiefert earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. Jesús Candela recorded the save, his 1st.
The Outlaws got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tom Macdonald. For the game, Macdonald went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Nashville a 7-6 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Macdonald said after the game.
The 5th-place Outlaws have won 5 in a row.
