Milwaukee Beats Chicago, 8-6
|
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Elton Dose, the Milwaukee Milkmen defeated the Chicago Dogs, 8-6. Dose was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Milkmen. Rob Micheli earned his 10th save, after closing out the game. The victory puts Milwaukee at 15-25.
Dose got the Milkmen off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Dose, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
