Millers Best Seawolves in Pitching Duel
The Minneapolis Millers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jeff Bean, who muffled the Erie offense en route to a tight 2-0 Millers win at Paul Bunyan Stadium. Ed Fish was credited with the save for Minneapolis, his 6th of the season. The Seawolves, 14-15, continue their so-so start to the 2053 season.

The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the ninth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Erie trailing 2-0, Ed Fish needed to get a big out. On a 1-0 fastball, Ed Brochin, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2050 draft, grounded out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.
