M&P Park was the site of a competitive game between the California Dreamers and Minneapolis Millers.
Minneapolis rode a fine outing from starter Joe Busam to victory over the California Dreamers at M&P Park. The final score was 3-2. The winning pitcher was Busam, now 3-1. He tossed 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7.
Minneapolis needed the clutch hitting of Dexter Morgan to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Millers on top, 3-2. For the game, Morgan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We were in it," said California manager Matt Walker. "We just didn't score enough runs."
The win brings the Millers to 15-11, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
