With left fielder Dan Gaccione leading the charge, the Memphis Blues defeated the Milwaukee Milkmen, 9-8, at Gateway Field. Gaccione, who is tied for 8th in the HL in RBI with 13, was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win puts Memphis at 12-9.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Memphis trailing 8-6, Dave Anderson jumped on a 0-1 changeup from Sergio Marino for a 3-run home run, sending the Blues to a walk-off win.
Anderson described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
