Generals Top Seawolves, 4-3
|
The Washington Generals did just enough to sneak past the Erie Seawolves, 4-3, at Palmer Stadium. Washington pitcher Mike Laino, in particular, had a standout performance. Washington pitcher Jong-kook Kym got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dave Griffith got the loss. The Seawolves drop to 11-11 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2053 season.
The Generals procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Théo Angot. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Angot told the Washington Today.
