Charlotte Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in Divisional Series
The Charlotte Knights got a strong performance from pitcher Tony Román, who stymied the visiting Mexico City Chupacabras en route to a win, 6-3, in Game 3 of the CBL Divisional Series. The Chupacabras could never get a bead on the right-handed Román, who threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The Knights now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Jake MacGregor barreled up a slider from Bernardo Piña. The result was a solo home run, putting the Knights in front, 5-3.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said MacGregor.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Horse Shoe in Charlotte.
