Blues Win at Washington, 7-2
|
Memphis pitcher Bob Navarro did his part in helping his team beat the Washington Generals, 7-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Navarro got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. Navarro allowed no runs. The Generals fall to 7-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Bobby Castoro, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Castoro contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Memphis up, 2-0.
