The Charlotte Knights welcomed the Milwaukee Milkmen to an night game at The Horse Shoe.

Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Jeremy Covill, the first overall pick in the 2050 draft, the Charlotte Knights defeated the Milwaukee Milkmen, 8-1. Sílvio Olival, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Milkmen to 1 run on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3.

With Charlotte leading 2-1 in the bottom of the first, Covill hit a sinker from Pete Smashey for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 4-1.

"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Nate Lee.

The loss drops the Milkmen to 1-7.
