Manchester turned a fine outing from starter Bobby Kozlov into a victory over the China Grove Samurai at Thunderdome. The final score was 5-2. Kozlov got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Manchester, with the win, is 6-1.

Manchester took a 5-2 lead on Roy Kent's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Kent hit in the top of the seventh, left China Grove pitcher Doug Zumwalde visibly frustrated.
