Tatis Helps Minneapolis Cruise to 11-3 Win
|
The Minneapolis Millers coasted to a win over the Erie Seawolves, 11-3. Elijah Tatis had a good day at the plate for Minneapolis. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times. Kire Rellim got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 8 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. The defeat makes Erie 3-4.
Minneapolis used a well-timed hit by Neritan Murati to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Millers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
In postgame comments to the Minneapolis Gazette, Tatis said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
