Millers Down Seawolves, 5-2
|
Jeff Bean was superb against Erie. The left-hander, who finished 4th in the HL in ERA with 2.92 last year, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Millers victory. The score was 5-2. With the win, Minneapolis raised its record to 91-68.
One of the clutch hits for Minneapolis came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, Dexter Morgan, who led the FL in home runs with 31 in 2050, hit a run-scoring single to put the Millers up, 3-2. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4.
"I had one goal in mind," said Bean. "Keep pounding the zone."
