Dreamers Sneak Past Milkmen, 1-0
|
Dreamers fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
In a low-scoring tilt between the California Dreamers and the Milwaukee Milkmen, Tony DeMaio was the difference-maker. The California right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. With the victory, the Dreamers upped their record to 90-66.
In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 0-0, pinch hitter José Garza won it for California. With a runner on 2nd, Garza hit a 1-1 fastball from Sergio Marino for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 1-0 win.
"We found a way to get it done," Garza said.
