Clodoveo Fernández pitched a gem to lead Mexico City to victory over the Milwaukee Milkmen, 5-1. The losing streak for Milwaukee has now reached 4 games.

Mexico City used the timely hitting of Nemesio Cruz to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Chupacabras on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
