The Charlotte Knights got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Vera, but the Vancouver Grizzlies still won the game, 4-2. Vera threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Vancouver reliever Dave Nash picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Josh Suh was saddled with the loss. The Grizzlies lead the Frontier League by 5 games.
Vancouver used a timely hit from Sandy Coleman to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Vancouver manager Cody Bellinger.
