China Grove left fielder Alan Micchelli helped his team beat the Philadelphia Liberty, 5-1. Micchelli, who leads the HL in doubles with 43, went 3 for 4 for the Samurai. Jorge Rodríguez converted his 3rd save in 6 tries. Philadelphia has now lost 7 straight.

In the top of the eighth, the Samurai grabbed the lead when Micchelli hit his 43rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double off Eddie Coste made it 4-1, China Grove.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Micchelli told the China Grove Today.
