Seawolves Spill Milkmen, 7-3
|
Erie beat Milwaukee on the strength of starter Ron Lenger's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-3. Lenger picked up the win for Erie, going 5 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 8-13. Earning the save was Tony Muñíz. He's now cashed in 5 of 7 save opportunities.
Joey Trojanowski, the six-time Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Trojanowski contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Erie up, 5-3.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Trojanowski told the Erie Citizen.
With the win over Milwaukee, the Seawolves improved to 73-80.
