Blues Deal Dogs 2-0 Defeat
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Memphis Blues and the Chicago Dogs. Memphis won it, 2-0. Memphis starter Jeff Perkins was in command. Ed Zinger got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances. The win elevated the Blues to 75-68.
Beau Wainright, the 23-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wainright contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Memphis up, 1-0.
"I had everything working," said Perkins.
